Meet Barnabas

Determined. Joyful. Smiling. That is a snapshot of Barnabas’s life today. As an infant, Barnabas was found in a dust bin. He has no fingers and no toes. He was rejected because of his physical disability. A kind couple took care of Barnabas until the husband passed away three years ago. The wife had no means to care for Barnabas, so he was brought to an orphanage where he was treated for tuberculosis, a disease all too common in India.
Although his growth is abnormal, he is an active eleven-year-old. He plays ball, plays the guitar, and paints. He is a good singer. He is interested in learning new languages. Today, Barnabas enjoys a loving atmosphere at the orphanage where he is encouraged and accepted.
