Bridgewater goes to Haiti

In just one month, Bridgewater employees and some of our best dealers will embark on a special brand experience orphanage service project in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. We offered the chance to go on the all expense paid brand experience to thousands of our authorized dealers. Through a nomination and written entry process, four dealers were awarded the opportunity. The dealers, along with two of our sales reps, will travel to Spartanburg, SC on September 29th to meet the Bridgewater Candle Company family and tour the manufacturing facility. On September 30th, the group will then travel to Port-au-Prince, Haiti to spend time visiting orphanages and complete a service project that includes delivering much needed supplies. Dealers going on the trip have asked their customers to help collect supplies. Employees at Bridgewater’s home office have also been generous in donating. We’ll be able to bring the children practical items such as vitamins and toothbrushes, as well as soccer balls, jump ropes and hammocks. And don’t forget candles! Of course, Bridgewater will bring plenty of jar candles for the orphanages to burn during the power outages that are frequent in Haiti.

1 Jar Feeds 1 Child for 1 DayFor every jar candle you purchase, Bridgewater makes a donation to Rice Bowls to feed an orphaned child for a day.
