Sharing Blessings in Honduras

Sharing Blessings in Honduras

From fresh and clean to warm and cozy, Bridgewater Candle Company’s fragrances capture special moments in life worth savoring. We are committed to sharing this warmth and hospitality with the world through our Light a Candle • Feed a Child™ program. Bridgewater donates a portion of each jar candle sale to Rice Bowls™,a non-profit whose mission is to feed orphaned children worldwide.

Bridgewater just returned from our second annual Brand Experience trip. The team included Bridgewater employees, Authorized Dealers, a licensed artist and a journalist. Their journey to the orphanage in Honduras, truly was life-changing.

In Their Own Words:
Susan
Susan Dickenson – Editor, Home Accents Today

“The Light a Candle, Feed a Child campaign – the idea that every candle represents the life of a child – is ingrained in the Bridgewater culture, fueling a sense of purpose in the employees and providing a meaningful back story for the managers and retailers/dealers. The program is permanent and, as long as the candles keep selling, will keep growing.”

Caroline
Caroline Simas – Licensed Artist, Multiple Blessings

“Our little group of 15 people supplied 95 hours of work for GSCH!!!! wow! It was so special to know we were using our God-given gifts there and what an incredible honor to have the painting be a permanent part of their casita!”

BethBeth Boyink – Gift Buyer, Schuler Books & Music

““Life changing does not even begin to describe our trip. I saw so many things that my worst imagination had not prepared me for, but I am a better person for having seen them. Experiencing the love and joy of the orphanage showed me first-hand how the simple act of selling a candle can make a difference in a child’s life. I move forward in my life knowing that awareness calls for responsibility.”

New Hangtags!

New Hangtags!

In an effort to continue to enhance the quality and design of its home fragrance products, Bridgewater Candle Company introduces new hangtags. Now all Bridgewater Candle Company Jar Candles will include a hangtag that opens to reveal a photograph of an orphaned child that is being fed through the company’s Light a Candle • Feed a Child program.

Customers will now be able to put a name, face and story with a child they are helping to feed. Lester beamed when we showed him the hangtag with his photo.
